The Manitoba Classroom Guitar Association (MCGA) is a non-profit organization that advocates on behalf of music educators and classroom guitar education in Manitoba.

These guidelines will help frame our thinking now to prepare for the fall.


We know that many of you have questions and concerns regarding this process and the challenges of how this will work for music education, for you and your students.  Hopefully this document will help answer some of those questions.


Please note that this document will be revised as circumstances change and new information/research becomes available.

This workshop is designed to assist existing and prospective classroom guitar educators. Veteran classroom teachers will guide participants through a range of topics.

10th Annual MCGA Creative Music Festival

Highlights from the Creative Music Festival 2020 are now available!

The festival goal is to promote creativity in the music classroom and showcase an evening of original music, composed and performed by students.
