MCGA SCHOLARSHIP

MCGA offers a scholarship to a University of Manitoba, Brandon University and Canadian Mennonite University Guitar Major entering the education stream. The purpose of the award is to support students in a Music Education Program. The scholarships are valued at $300 and each institution will select a student based on the following criteria:

• Is enrolled as a full-time student in the Music Education program offered at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Music or the Brandon University School of Music

• Has declared a guitar major

• Is entering the 3rd year of the Music Education stream/program.

• Has achieved a minimum degree grade point average of 3.0

• If there are no new guitar majors entering the Music Education program in a given year, the scholarship will not be awarded

• The selection committee will be named by the Dean (or designate) at each institution
